In late 2008, TSA was interested in additional volunteer companies who were committed to pursuing a high level of security. These companies were allowed to compete for funding which was meant as an incentive for the pilot participants to screen cargo with certain technology and report to TSA findings on the procedures, operation, and overall effectiveness of the equipment.  Atlas was accepted into the TSA Certified Cargo Screen Program Technology Pilot (STP) in March 2009 as a Category I participant, meaning we were already designated as an Indirect Air Carrier.

As a member of the TSA STP, Secure Global Logistics employs various advanced technology methodologies to screen air cargo prior to presenting to air carriers as pre-screened cargo.  Atlas is proud to be one of 14 companies nationwide to be selected for this program and the only company in Texas to be a participant.
